Yesterday was a big day for furry little Mabel. She went for her first visit (since she came to us) to the vet.
We had her microchipped and vaccinated against a variety of nasties.
I know it's all in her best interest but she was just so sleepy last night. I felt such a meany! She just went from one sleeping spot to another and even her foil ball couldn't tempt her to muster up any energy.
We made sure she got lots and lots of cuddles, kisses and treats.
I was happy to see that she had slept it off overnight and was back to her usual cheeky self this morning.
Sounds like a normal reaction Mabel. Glad you are back to being your cute self today. Hugs, Deb =^..^=x5
ReplyDeleteWe're glad she's back to being her normal self today. We hope you don't have to go back for a long time now, Mabel! (Uh, are you already spayed? We can't remember!)
ReplyDeleteYes! Thankfully Kea the cat shelter we got her from makes sure that all cats are spayed and neutered before they leave so that's hopefully the last time we'll see the vet for a while! x
ReplyDeleteWe just took our kittens to get their first shots on Saturday, and it made them sleepy for the rest of the day. Some get sleepy, some aren't bothered. It just depends - but luckily it wears off in a day or so!
ReplyDeleteAwwww sleepy Mabel. Is ok though, I thinks it is harder on mommies than it is on us kitties. We hopes everyone is having a fun day.
ReplyDeleteGlad your vet visit is over and you shouldn't have to go back for a long time!...kisses beautiful Mabel; happy dreams sweetie...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. What a great blog you have! Nice to meet you Mabel and Caroline!! It is good to have the microchip and all the vaccinations.
ReplyDeleteOur Mummy was a new cat owner last year so she loves reading all about Mabel's adventures.

Ahhh the sads after the vet are a good way to score lots of treats. Me, I like to go in hide in the garden for a couple of hours to get the vet smell off me.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh and I have a microchip too, in case somebuddy tries to steal me. Mum says they would have to catch me first.

I hate getting shots. They pinch! But I got a microchip, too. Just to be safe.
ReplyDeleteMabel.....I have to go to the mean v-e-t place tomorrow! Glad you are feeling better!~~Orion
